Upcoming Events:
Formed in September of 2022, the WSBCTC Diversity Committee is chaired by Sean Bagsby, Business Manager/Financial Secretary of IBEW Local 46 with the support of WSBCTC leadership and Executive Secretary Mark Riker.

​The committee has appointed representatives from 15 Building Trades Unions and labor organizations, including:

Committee members meet monthly and represent not only their local but also parent organization(s), sharing best practices from each union and from the Diversity Committee.

​This is a working committee – each member is motivated to do the work, not just talk about it. In that spirit, we had much discussion and debate to establish the first 3 Workgroups on diversity in the trades: 
  • Member/rank and file outreach​
  • Recruitment and retention of new members
  • Pre-apprenticeships
